High School Conservatory
About the camp:
Hours: 9am – 3pm
The High School Conservatory is back for its second year! In this three-week program, young actors will hone their performance skills through intensive training in a wide variety of movement and acting styles. In the morning, they will work on technique, and in the afternoon, will work as an ensemble to develop an original, 30-minute piece in the Synetic style that they will perform on stage on the final day of camp. This summer’s program will also include audition prep workshops, a mock audition panel, and resume prep.
This summer students will work on there own adaptation of the tragic tale: Titanic. Students will adapt and devise a never before seen production that will be performed for parents and friends on the final day on camp. The performance will be on our mainstage and will feature lights, costumes, sound and set. This production is sure to make a splash!
The Conservatory will be led by Synetic’s own Vato Tsikurishvili (Cyrano de Bergerac, The Servant of Two Masters, Sleepy Hollow, King Arthur and many others) and Director of Education Hester Kamin, who most recently directed and choreographed Shipwrecked (The Tempest) (Gulfshore Playhouse/ Naples Philharmonic), I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Naples Players/ The Holocaust Museum), and Moana (Naples Players.)
