March 27, 2020 – April 5, 2020

Update: Friday, March 13, 2020:

Out of concern for the safety of our community, and in light of recommendations by Governor Ralph Northam, Mayor Muriel Bowser, the public health departments of Virginia and DC, and the CDC regarding public gatherings and social distancing, we are closing the public spaces of Synetic Theater for at least the next two weeks. Our production of Teen Romeo and Juliet will be rescheduled for April or May of 2020 and all current ticket holders will be automatically transferred to a new performance.

We deeply appreciate your support as the news unfolds, and look forward to opening our doors once more later this spring to bring theater to our community. In the meantime, check our website and emails for updates, and please take care of yourself and your loved ones. We will continue to update this page.

In this passionate and lyrical piece, set among the gears of a giant clock, the greatest of Shakespearean lovers race against time itself to outrun their fate. The Synetic Teen Company will present Synetic’s landmark and “enthralling” (The Washington Post) production of Romeo and Juliet! One of the first in Synetic’s “wordless Shakespeare” series, the original 2011 production received 6 Helen Hayes Award Nominations and 2 wins, for Outstanding Resident Play and Ensemble. This production does not have dialogue.
