The Synetic Intensive is a 4-day professional workshop for actors and movement artists seeking to train in the core principles of Synetic’s physical theater technique. Participants will work directly with Irina Tsikurishvili—Co-Founder of Synetic Theater and an award-winning choreographer behind dozens of the company’s productions.

Through a rigorous, hands-on curriculum, sessions explore Synetic’s distinctive, story- and character-driven approach to mime, character movement, physical improvisation, dance-as-narrative, and ensemble performance. Emphasis is placed on developing the actor’s ability to communicate clearly and dynamically through the body.

Participants should expect an intensive training environment and will leave with a deeper, more practical understanding of how to express character, emotion, and story through movement.

Open to participants age 18+ by the start of the session. Please bring water and movement-appropriate clothing.
