Synetic’s Teen Company is a year-round training program dedicated to developing the next generation of artistic performers.
For the upcoming 2017/18 Season, the Teen Company will create an original work where they expand their acting skills through the Synetic movement vocabulary, acrobatics, dance, and musicality, while adding in a new layer: text.
Teen Company members gain confidence, discipline, and the responsibility to challenge themselves and their peers. Artists’ study and train in the infused theatrical methodologies of Growtowski, Lecoq, Stanislavski, and Chekhov through the Synetic-style. The teen cast work closely with Irina Tsikurishvili and other artistic professionals, including a dialect coach!
By early-April 2018, the teen ensemble has a fully staged, full-length production, to go along with an experience of a lifetime. Many teen program alumni go on to appear in main stage productions!
During a turbulent war, a group of students are evacuated from Britain. Their plane crashes on a deserted island in the Pacific where the young survivors are tested as they experience the hardships of power, law and order, and prevailing in the wilderness.
