Visiting Our Studio

Synetic Studio Violet is located in the Crystal City Underground. It can be tricky to find us, so make sure you allow some extra time if this is your first time joining us!

Parking can be found on Crystal Drive (2144 Crystal Dr, Arlington, VA 22202). This is an underground public parking garage next to the Capital One Bank on Crystal Drive. Find an open space and take the elevator up to the “Shops” level. Make a right after you exit the elevator and follow the hallway to the left of the staircase. If you see a gift shop and a Subway Sandwich shop, you’re going the right way! Our studio is straight ahead on the left; we are the purple-painted storefront aptly called Studio Violet. If you find yourself outside at any moment – you’re going in the wrong direction.

NOTE: For most education events, parking is FREE. You will have to take a parking ticket either way, but you won’t be charged on the way out. Synetic will provide parking validation only during times parking isn’t free.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Synetic Theater generally follows Metro closings in inclement weather as to whether we cancel a performance or not. Should Metro close either all stations or just the above ground stations, performances will be canceled. Ticket holders for the cancelled performances will be notified by email or phone call as soon as the decision is made. Updates can also be found on Synetic Theater’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. We encourage you to check our website for the most up-to-date cancellation information.

NOTE: Starting Sept. 10, 2022 there will be metro closures for over 10 months.

We Care About Your Safety

Welcome back to Synetic! We’ve missed you and are thrilled to be back for live performances onstage. Before you leave for the theater, here are a few things you need to know about how we’re keeping our staff, actors, production members and audiences (YOU!) safe during in-person performances:

Masks In Our Spaces

Masks are optional but recommended for all patrons, staff and ushers during our shows and events. (Effective March 1, 2023)

Vaccinations

As with many other theaters in our region, Synetic no longer requires patrons to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to enter our theater and other public spaces.

Other ways we’re keeping you safe

  • Concessions are sold but are not allowed in the auditorium. Please consume in designated areas in the lobby.
  • Patrons who prefer to sit socially distanced may sit in a section at the back of the theater, where a number of seats are reserved. Please see an usher upon arrival.
  • We have increased the number of cleanings in the theater and offer multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the lobby.

All Synetic full-time, part-time, volunteered and contracted staff are fully vaccinated. Staff undergoes regular testing.

Guidelines for Educational Offerings

Synetic no longer requires students to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to participate in our Educational Programs. Masks are optional, but recommended for all participants.

For any questions, please contact Education@SyneticTheater.org.
